I am currently testing out an Eero 3 pack from Best Buy since our bedroom is fairly far from the ATT gateway and was getting only about 40 - 100 down. All you need is a powered Ethernet switch. Have the ont cable go into the powered switch. Fire up up att modem/router which is connected to switch, wait for all green lights go into settings and copy the MAC address. Assign your router of choice the same MAC address. Unplug att router from switch and plug in your router.

The second offer is from spectrum which is cable internet and offers 400mbps and 20upload for $65 US what I was told by spectrum representative. spectrum has been amazing for me, ive checked and for me, at&t fiber is way more expensive, and theres no availability. They will run a fiber cable to where the gateway is located. Fiber cable is smaller than the coax used for Spectrum. Well, I have AT&T fiber and haven’t used a modem in decades. If your connection is like mine the fiber terminates in an ONT with Ethernet from that running into their gateway. You need that to provide you with your Internet address. I turned off Wi-Fi in the gateway and run my ethernet to my router, and that handles all of my devices. Within a couple hours I had an appointment for Monday morning, and the guy showed up at 8:30 and had me working in 30 minutes. I'm far more satisfied with ATT fiber than any other service I've had. Also: never a hint of data caps and we stream everything plus I'm online for work all day. 1.

No data caps alone makes it a no brainer. You should be getting 1000 up and down symmetric by the way your numbers are low even over wifi. Also their hardware is free.
