We fought Shadow Prince even before we even knew thix quest exists and we killed that Shadow Prince at that point, because I have Sebille in the party and so on. I collected everything he had (he had no heart to collect).I already killed the Shadow Prince, as he is evil... and I've spared the mother tree.
