Imo KOTOR is still worth playing even if you got spoiled. Although the Revan reveal is an important part of what makes the game great there's plenty of other components that make the game awesome. I actually got it spoiled partway through my first playthrough, but I still greatly enjoyed it and have replayed since. It seems like they thought it would be cool to have the twist, but didn't exactly develop it well, in true Bioware fashion. This wouldn't normally be an issue, but when everyone and their brother starts comparing KOTOR to works of literature and such nonsense, somebody has to shoot that silliness down. Kotor 1 feels like a true star wars cinematic experience. It's more light-hearted, nothing really dark, tragic depressing about it if you play LS.
