I use the adaptive cruise all the time with Eco mode characteristics. It does significantly improve my fuel consumption. As a pilot, I like it more for the "auto throttle" up to my set speed rather than driving. Just be aware that throttle response might be down a little until it relearns all of it's parameters. This typically takes about 50 miles but it may take up to 100 miles.
