Posted July 15, 2019. I have recently replaced my battery as part of a trying to isolate a hard starting problem on my 2014 KTM 450 SXF. With the new battery I have plenty of cranking power, however there is now another noise, this time coming from the starter. The bike will turn over and start, however not before a whining sound from the starter.
