Environmental Sustainability in Germany. Learn first-hand the environmental issues facing Europe, with a focus on the European Union community and the policies being implemented to address these issues. This program is offered every other summer and will next be offered in 2024. Location: Freiburg, Germany. Language of Instruction: English. The School of Architecture & Design offers a variety of study abroad programs for students in all of the School’s degree programs. These include internships abroad and summer and winter break options with KU faculty. Most students are able to fulfill graduation requirements and maintain progress toward their degree while studying abroad.

Eligible students must have a minimum 2.5 GPA and have applied to an eligible SIT program.Students often choose a KU program in Costa Rica, Brazil, or Argentina. CLACS has made a special effort to link the study of Less Commonly Taught Languages to Office of Study Abroad Programs, which greatly increases the motivation for students to study these languages. For Portuguese, KU has an intensive summer program in Salvador, Bahia, Brazil. With careful and early planning, you can study abroad for a semester and still graduate on time. The minimum eligibility requirements to study abroad are the completion of one semester on campus and a GPA of 2.5 or higher. Some programs may have additional eligibility requirements.
