If you are able to do all the work for induction then yes it would be worth it for the network, if not then just take it as a compliment that you were asked. I completed several hours of training to finish my induction process and receive my stoles and cords for graduation.
Don't expect to be joining an involved society. The recognition of the academic success that hard work can achieve is appreciated. However, I feel that I spent time and money for the sole purpose of being able to purchase honor apparel for graduation.
