The Mak-90 I bought back in the day, 1993 if I remember correctly, it had a milled receiver and a thumbhole stock. Paid about $190 for it. Immediately put new furniture on it. A bunch of us bought these rifles. AW ban happened and over night the price on the MAK-90 went up. Way up.

Some of the Mak 90's have a slant cut receiver at the rear of the gun. Only one company makes a stock set to fit the slant cut. If straight cut, you can use standard wood stocks with some very minor fitting (MAK90 has 1.5mm stamping instead of AKM's 1.0mm). MAK-90s came in both milled and stamped versions, and the stamped ones might be straight cut (90 degree angle on the back end) or slant cut (not 90 degrees). Some argue milled is better than stamped, but I'm not sure it matters on the AK platform.
