It's a PTS, and when I start it just makes sort of like a screeching sound and wont turn over. I then turn off everything wait a few and sometimes it starts and sometimes it continues a few more times before finally turning over and starting. greg1c. Unless you have had work done around the starter there is no reason for the connections to be loose. The starter gets it's ground through the engine block. The block is grounded to the body with 2 ground cables. The starter has 2 connections, one directly to the battery and the other is the starter solenoid.
