It can be a little tough to beat Atheon in 1-2 phases, especially when playing at the Master difficulty. Completing the raid challenge in Vault of Glass: Master will reward Collective Measure (Timelost) and a chance to get Adept Mods. It is also needed to complete the Fatebreaker title. That is all we have got in ... Atheon challenge - easy: only requires changing the way the oracles are shot. If you can beat Master Atheon, you can beat him with the challenge. Gatekeeper - difficult: requires a lot of tight timing with a lot of adds present. Stasis very much helps, but even then, there's just a lot going on inside the portals.

That being said, you can technically do any challenge any time, but won't get credit for it unless you have the associated Hawthorne bounty which is on the aforementioned weekly cycle The following TWAB (the one about Season of the Splicer) men Master difficulty of VOG is out, and in order to get a Timelost weapon you need ONLY to do the weekly challenge for a certain encounter.
