Re: Welding Alumunum with Lincoln 180 power mig. I have that machine/spool gun and weld aluminum with no problems. Flip the door open and there should be a chart with the setting to start at. .035 wire may be a little thick requiring higher setting. Make sure the polarity is correct and it isn't set for flux core.

Under 1/8" thick, you can use "D", but you will have to be careful to avoid burn through. It will happen faster than you can say, "Oh crap!"
