Sep 17, 2008 · The Pro is gov't frame with a 4" Bull Barrel. The Ultra is an officer's frame with a 3 inch Bull Barrell. Both have aluminum frames and the Schwartz safety system. I have two kimbers, a full size Custom II and an Ultra Elite. For carry I like the ultra alot more as it is smaller, lighter, and alot quicker for point and shoot type situations. It is going to be a Kimber and it is going to be either the Pro Carry or the Ultra Carry. Pro Carry is full size frame (alloy) and 4" slide. Ultra Carry is officer frame and 3" barrel. I really prefer commander length pistols, so I am leaning toward the Pro Carry. ….
