Rattling noise in the morning when first starting 2010 Honda CRV workaround. It works for real. I saw the workaround on YouTube and thought I’d try it myself...210,000 MILES. I've been hearing what sounds like a metal on metal rattle/clunk while accelerating, the noise is constant and as soon as you lift off the pedal, the noise stops. It also makes a clicking/popping noise when turning left. (Both CV axles were replaced a year ago). There is an arrow and window on the tensioner, if the arrow is close the being out of the window, the belt needs replaced. This is mimics the vtc actuator noise almost exactly.Mine is an 05 crv, bought used at 115k miles. Well taken care of and runs great.
