On hot days (temps in 90's plus), my Jeep would overheat while driving regardless of speed. Higher speeds didn't help cool it off. In older vehicles that had questionable cooling fans, you could just drive 50-60 and the airflow through radiator was enough to keep your engine happy. Not so in the JK. I have replaced - fan, thermostat, water pump, radiator, hoses, temperature sensor, head gaskets and even heads. All to the tune of about $4,000. Still overheats. - no codes ever.

It's probably not the thermostat, or else it would be overheating while driving, too. Check coolant, add if needed, and then look to the fan clutch.
