Drz 400 carb
My question to you, the viewer is this: How in Gods green earth does one remove and or install a carb on a 2000 drz 400? I managed to perform this daunting task but it was like my worst nightmare. There has got to be an easier way. Someone please answer my cry for help. Am also looking for a step...Blainepaul36. Hopefully someone can point me in the right direction here. I've searched for a few days but I can't find a deffinate answer on this. I own a 2009 drz400sm, stock carb/ dj jet kit, stock cams, full yoshi rs-2, K&N with 3x3 mod. Ive been needing a ring job so I've opted for a cylinder works 434 big bore kit. If you have a DRZ400 most likely you have the vacuum operated petcock that will leak fuel right into your carb, then into your engine, and finally engine OIL...We use CVK40 from KLR650 and DRZ likes almost same OEM jet setup of KLR. So IMO, oem setup of DR650 shouldn't be too far from what you need. And TM40 comes with 17.5 PJ (and 165MJ) if you buy it from mikuni or wherever. That carb is designed for 400~650 cc single bikes.
