I recently renovated by bathroom and I had to replace the Moen shower cartridge that was there previously. After some fighting, I was able to get the old one out with a cartridge puller tool. The model of the old one is 109272. I called Moen and confirmed that the current replacement model is the 1222, which is what I have installed.
