In response to Acadia Ray - My 2017 Acadia started showing the steering assist warning when starting the car, my check engine light was on, engine fans keep running on high and a/c stopped. I removed the negative battery connector, and reattached it as you suggested, and all is well!!! The rear air blows out much warmer than the front when the air conditioner is on.
