How to read a scientific article

I literally read scientific research papers for money. There is no universal way to "read quickly with good understanding". As in case of any other text, if it is possible depends on the way the piece is written. If it is poorly written, not only it may be hard to read it quickly & with understanding, but even to understand it at all. .
