You can see in the list of serial numbers shipped in Ithaca shipment 113 (the last one) that the highest number is 2660318. That is where Clawson got the number.As far as I can find out using "Google", it is an original 1943 Remington Rand made 1911 A1, that has been reblued at some point, showing some discoloration in the finish. It has a correct "Type 3" slide inscription, and the "O" in NO is the late '43 big "O" and not the earlier style with an underlined small "o".…
