Install a fresh, known good battery into the optic, & torque the battery cap to 10 in/lb. Press & hold the "up" arrow for 6-8 seconds. The ROMEO1 and ROMEO1PRO have a 10-12 inch pound torque spec for the battery cap. This is a surprisingly tight fit and most people will only get to 7-8 in-lbs. without using a firm twist with a legit screwdriver.
