I'm starting to actually decorate my house a bit and I have two chests inside (and not in pretty places, just accidentally dropped in the middle of the dining room). Is there any way to pick them up and move them like other items? I've tried everything I can think of and my character won't pick it up. I want to put them outside, or in a shed, or even in the house but against a wall. It's ...Volcano Dungeon. Chests, and other similar items like fences, bee hives, kegs and so on, need to be removed by being hit by either an axe, a pickaxe, or by repeatedly clicking it (forgot now if with right or left mouse button) while having nothing on your hand. I'm pretty sure they must be empity to be moved around. Chest do have to be empty inorder to be moved
The carry chest will be more of what you want but I have no clue if it's been updated or working right, it allows you to pick up and move chests with stuff in them. The chest anywhere lets you access your chests from anywhere with a key press so it would make it easy to move stuff from one chest to another plus I do believe it has been updated ...It won't remove them but they might end up in unhelpful positions. #1.
