2019 Colorado Trans Shudder. Hey everybody, I'm in the midst of dealing with the 8L45 transmission shudder on my 19 Z71 and thought if share my experience here for the benefit of anyone else who is dealing with this. I bought the truck new in late 2019 with 245 miles on the clock. Z71 trim, 4 door, short box, 4x4, all the options.

8l90 Torque Converter Shudder. My 2016 Silverado 6.2 with 8 speed just started the torque converter shudder at 35,000 miles. At first it was between 45-55 mph. Truck is black bear tuned so before taking it in I reflashed back to stock and problem is even worse now, possibly because the reflash put trans back in to learn mode.Gonna try a tuning soon to see if it improves the issue. 2016 Canyon with 110,000km started shuddering. One mechanic suggested new tourque converter based on other's experiences. Transmission specialty shop suggested flush, new fluid and anti-shudder fluid and all has been good for 10,000km. Turns out that our 2013 Traverse was still under warranty, since it was a fleet vehicle before we bought it. Dealership replaced the torque converter (and 3-5-R waveplate) under warranty in April. Start the engine and run 4 quarts into GE-47716-2 Graduated Bucket, then shut vehicle off (dump fluid out of bucket as necessary). Add 4 quarts Dex6 through dipstick tube. Raise the vehicle, remove the block assembly and reinstall the cooler lines. Lower the vehicle. Add correct amount of DEX6 transmission fluid (approx. 4 quarts) to the system.
