Pull up the online manual for the awnings and it tells you which way to turn the adjusters. You extend the awnings, about two feet and then adjust. You stick the allen wrench in the adjuster and turn. If there are current limiters I have not seen them (but then why would they not be mentioned in the manual). It sounds like there are two (maybe three) types of Girard awnings: 1) Girard ACMC - which has current limiters and a control box. No limit adjustment screws. 2) Girard 1500/2000 - with limit adjustment screws.
