I recently started ds2 as a pure strength knight with high enough dex to try different weapons. I'm using the greatsword and kill most regular mobs in 1 hit. On ds3 I use to 2 hand mostly but I'm finding using a shield is very good in ds2 so I 1 hand a lot. Pretty fun and easy. I have killed a lot of bosses on my first try.
