Anky is far more effective than the mining laser, and frankly the metal pick will easily generate all of the 100 pound stacks of crystal you can carry *anyway*. The difficulty isn't finding or mining crystal. It's in transport, same as with Obsidian, metal, even stone and wood. Collecting thousands at once is easy. 10. Thatch, this is one of the easiest resources to get on Ark, but yet it's an important resource. I see a lot of people not having a specific dino for thatch, especially on boosted server where a metal pickaxe is enough to get a lot of thatch. People who do have a dino for it, mainly use a Megatherium because it has the best gather amount for thatch.There are 4 main kinds of berries:normal,good,stim,and narco (naptime) Normal:This is the azul, amar, and tintoberries. They aren't special;they are just used in recipes or food. Good:this is mejoberries, they are better for taming. Stim:these ones make you more awake, but dehydrate you or starve tames;used in stimulants.

If you have a Dino with good weight and movement speed, have it follow you to get more at one go. On Ragnarok, Dunkleo’s can also gather flint (together with stone) in the water. But less effective than anky/mantis on land. An Ankylosaurus with bred stats into melee/ full imprint is better. While i have most of the above dinos, I find that theri is the best for wood. Only downside is it does not get any weight reduction like the mammoth/casteroides. Mammoth/beaver are great for starting-mid game, and theri is really good if you have a high-weight dino to stash the stuff in as you deforest an area (or quetz if you have a teammate).
