Not sure about the interaction in BG3 but in DnD proper, your wild shape retains your class features like an ASI. So the stats might change but the ASI still applies ... The only feat changes I saw were making tavern brawler work completely in wildshape and making the Lucky feat work while wildshaped.Tawern brawler are for soft humanoids that normally only do 1+ strength unarmed (outside of monk) So no, it shouldn't work for animals / wildshape. Oh wait, I actually just figured it out on my own. If you look on the combat log you can see the breakdowns for attacks, and lo and behold, tavern brawler adds the attack roll but not the damage roll.
