The lake wasn’t filled until the 1950’s so it was a view decades after the racist events of Oscarville. People kind of conflate the two but I don’t know how related they actually were. Oscarville would have been abandoned by the time the lake was filled. And Lake Lanier is huge and across several counties, Oscarville was a small little town.
