Apr 7, 2022 · I'm a Comcast Business class customer and I need my modem put into true bridge mode. I tried to follow the steps on one of the support pages. I have set it to Bridge Mode, Advanced. What is the difference between Bridge Mode Advance and Basic? I basically need the modem to act as only a modem and present my router with a public IP.

Modem works fine in normal mode, but need to enable bridge mode to my router to allow for site to site vpn to work. As soon as I ebable bridge mode the vpn starts working, but the internet connection starts dropping packets every 3 minutes for 5-6 pings and then is fine for another 3 minutes.
