Helicopter controls arma 3.
The standard controls are just clunky and really weird in my opinion. I mean, in real life even someone who has never flown a helicopter can fly one if he gets a 10min introduction from a flight instructor, and the controls in arma 3 are more complicated than in real life. And by all necessary means, Arma is no flight simulator.
Helicopters Take-off. Start the engine by pressing [Left Shift]. Hold [Left Shift] to increase throttle and gain altitude. Hold [Z] to decrease throttle and lose altitude. Maneuver the helicopter sideways with [A] and [D]. Pull the nose down [W] to gain speed and up [S] to lose it. Arma heli controls aren't too bad. DayZ SA definitely made cars harder than Arma by making them manual, but I'd be surprised if they do anything too stupid with helis (such as Arma 3's advanced flight model). There is a learning curve, and it will never be Battlefield easy. But you can master them just fine with keyboard and mouse.
