If you have an automatic resetting the ECU you will notice a difference in drivability as it will go back to factory spec before the car learned how you drive normally to optimize fuel economy. It doesn't actually learn anything. Instead, it selects a shift schedule based on your driving style. IIRC, there are three different shift schedules for Normal and two for Sport that the ECU chooses based on driving style. The hardest part is unclipping the harness and working in a tight spot. Once the clip is off, remove the 10mm bolt and remove and replace. It's easy.
