One of my favorite aspects of the film is the anachronistic ship design. Since the film is basically R. L. Stevenson’s Treasure Island in space, the ships look like classic 19th-century vessels – wooden hulls and all. This mod brings those same wooden vessels to Stellaris so you can relive the Golden Age of Sail. Realism be damned!.

Up until recently I've also relied on auto designed ships & sheer numbers. I haven't let it put me off war though. It's great fun in Stellaris. :-) I've recently been learning how to design ships myself though. I know counter building is generally the best methodology, but I kinda wanted to be sure I could still focus down battle ships as a design category instead of building a more complex flotilla like something out of real life, what with the value of screens outside of the game.There are so many mods relating to adjusting ship behaviour or appearance in one way or another, just a pure "ship set" can be difficult to identify. Having done some searching, it's still the case that genuinely unique ship sets are rare; the vast majority of the mods contained in this collection reuse existing Stellaris models in some manner.

By adding ships to existing fleets and doing upgrades, it becomes much more effective. Next step up the ladder, add four battleships. This way you build fleets and progressively add muscle as you advance.
