IMO, Realistic Terrain Generation is the main one to keep an eye on for the moment. Alternate Terrain Generation explicitly does not support modded biomes - of which there are a fair bit. Realistic Terrain Generation can support modded biomes, but neither are updated for 1.12 at the moment.
